Ashia Cheetah Centre has shared a joyful update showing the cheetah cubs thriving and running. The video above shows their first run with the lure.
The cubs have shown a very positive reaction to the fitness runs. They took to them immediately and instinctively chased the lure. They have continued to do so and the females especially are excellent runners.
They also receive stimulation and enrichment when moving to the running area. As soon as they enter, they start sniffing and taking in the cheetah scents and communications left behind.
The running has benefited their health by aiding digestion and providing the exercise they need.
The video above shows the cubs chasing the lure and looking excited and alert. The video below shows them after the run, looking relaxed and satisfied.
