Lehele Villas
Gondwana’s Lehele Villas stand alone in the fynbos, ten kilometres of reserve between them and Kwena, with giraffe passing the deck.
Lehele is Gondwana’s family lodge, where young travellers are welcome from any age and the children’s area runs from inside the lodge out into the fynbos.
Each villa has three or four ensuite bedrooms, a double volume lounge and dining room with a wood burning fireplace, and a wraparound deck for the hours when nobody wants to be indoors. Meals and game drives run from Lehele Lodge, fifteen to thirty minutes through the reserve. Drive yourself on roads any hire car can manage, or take the rate that includes transfers and let the guide come to you.
Children are welcome at Lehele from any age. Infants under 2 years of age are not allowed on game drives. Children are welcome from their second birthday. The Junior Ranger Programme leaves from here.
The conservation fee of R500 for each adult and R250 for each child, once for your stay, is added to your bill and goes directly to the reserve.
The Gondwana Conservation Foundation funds the reserve’s anti poaching unit, species returns and alien clearing. If you’d like to support that work, WhatsApp us and we’ll put you in touch.
