Children are welcome at Gondwana Game Reserve. Tell us who is travelling and how old the children are. We will shape the stay around your family.

Where families stay

Lehele Lodge is the family lodge and welcomes guests of any age. Guests staying in Lehele Villas take meals and activities from Lehele Lodge.

Kwena Lodge is for couples and guests aged 12 and over.

Game drives

Children aged 3 and over can join game drives.

Families can ask about a private vehicle or a Bokkie drive. Both are on request and subject to availability. Private vehicles are usually confirmed closer to arrival. Ask reservations for what can be arranged for your dates.

Junior Ranger Programme

The Junior Ranger Programme is for children from age 4 and older. It is complimentary. Book through reservations or at reception. It leaves daily from reception in the mid morning and runs about two hours.

Meals and help with little ones

Children’s menus are available at Lehele Lodge. Tell us about dietary needs when you book.

Babysitting in your Lehele family villa can be arranged on request. Pre book with reservations so we can confirm availability.

What else families ask for

A Bokkie drive suits adults with children. Book through reservations or at reception. It leaves daily from reception in the late morning and runs about one and a half hours.

A guided fynbos bush walk suits guests from age 6 and older. Minimum numbers apply. Book through reservations or at reception. It leaves daily from reception in the late morning and runs about two hours. Water is included.

Good to know

A conservation fee applies once per stay and is set out with every quote. The fee helps Gondwana protect flora and fauna through anti poaching, training and ongoing conservation work that strengthens biodiversity.
