Kwena Lodge
Gondwana’s Kwena Lodge sits on a ridge above the plains, each suite set apart from the next so that what you see from your deck is fynbos, mountain and nothing else.
The day here is measured in light, not hours.
Kwena Lodge is designed for couples and for guests aged 12 and over only.
Each suite is a building of its own. A fireplace for the cold months, a bath deep enough to watch the weather from, showers inside and out, and a deck no one else can reach. Four luxury suites stand a little further off with more room to themselves. Between drives there is the infinity pool, the bar, and the long tables where dinner runs late and nobody minds.
Kwena keeps its pace slow on purpose. It’s built for couples and for anyone who came to hear the reserve rather than talk over it. Families with younger children have Lehele, where the day runs on their clock.
A conservation fee of R500 for each adult and R250 for each child applies once during your stay.
The Gondwana Conservation Foundation funds the reserve’s anti poaching unit, species returns and alien clearing. If you’d like to support that work, WhatsApp us and we’ll put you in touch.
