Lehele Lodge

Lehele is where families come together. The lodge sits at the top of the Lehele Valley, with the mountains around it, and the dining room, lounge, bar and decks open into one another, so nobody is ever far from anyone. Meals and game drives all begin here.

Children of every age are welcome, babies included. Those aged three and over join the game drives. For the youngest, there is the Bokkie Drive, a gentler outing that keeps well away from the predators, with an adult alongside, at an additional cost. Babysitting can be booked ahead, at an additional charge and subject to availability. And for children aged four to twelve, the Junior Ranger Programme is included in your stay.

Families staying at Lehele are accommodated in the Lehele Villas, between three and fifteen minutes from the lodge along a scenic reserve road, suitable for a two-wheel drive. You can drive yourself for meals and drives, or choose a rate that includes transfers.

Children under three stay complimentary when sharing with two full-paying adults. Children aged three to five pay thirty percent of the per person sharing rate. Children aged six to eleven pay fifty percent of the full adult rate, whether they share their parents’ room or take another in the villa. Children aged twelve and over pay the full adult rate. Children under 12 stay at Lehele, not at Kwena Lodge.

Game drives from Lehele Lodge run for two and a half to three hours, depending on the ages of the children on the vehicle. Children aged two to three can join the Bokkie Drive after breakfast, or you can hire an exclusive-use vehicle, both at an additional cost.

A conservation fee is charged separately for each stay and goes to the Gondwana Conservation Foundation, so every stay contributes to our conservation legacy.
