Drive times

A Big 5 stop on the route

Gondwana Game Reserve holds free roaming Big 5 in Cape fynbos on a malaria free reserve of about 11 000 hectares near Mossel Bay. Morning and afternoon game drives run from the lodge each day. The reserve does not take day visitors. Your safari is an overnight stay so the quiet holds for guests and for the wildlife.

A two or three night stay

Arrive in time for the afternoon game drive on your first evening. The next day you can take morning and afternoon drives, or keep a morning free for a coastal stop and return for the afternoon drive. On your last morning a final drive before you continue along the Garden Route or toward George Airport.

Two nights give four game drives and a clear safari chapter on the route. Three nights give six game drives and another full day between the coast and the plains. Reservations can shape the stay around the rest of your itinerary.
